The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA might be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it really is alarmed in regards to the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place designed for sassa intervention experiences a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers here and enhance use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
